What happens when the motor of the electric vehicle is broken?
After suspending, the motor seems to receive resistance and the rotation is not smooth, it cannot start suddenly, the motor rotates, the uphill is weak and shakes or the starting speed is slow, the motor has a smell, etc. If the motor is weak, you can check the Hall, controller, and motor coils. , Hall line on the handle, etc. If there is no problem with the motor and Hall line, it may be a problem with the controller.

How to judge whether the electric vehicle motor is broken?

* Disassemble the seat bag, find the disconnect plug of the controller and the motor connection line, and use the Hall detector to detect whether the motor Hall is working normally. Gently turn the rear wheel,
and if there are one or two indicator lights, which are always on or not on, it means that the Hall is damaged and the Hall needs to be replaced.
* The connection between the motor line and the control line is caused by adhesion or a short circuit. Then find the place where the line is glued, disassemble it and wrap it with tape, and debug it again. If it is normal, it means that the problem occurs in the line adhesion.
* Turn the handle, and the wheels make a clicking sound. It may be that the magnetic steel or bearing in the motor is damaged, resulting in overload and slow running speed. You need to open the motor for further inspection. The Hall sensor burns out the motor. The car doesn't work either.
* If the vehicle is overloaded and cannot drive suddenly, but it is light and does not shake when pushed, and if you get close to the motor, you can smell a bad smell, which means that the motor winding wire is burnt out and the motor needs to be replaced.


How to repair electric vehicle motor failure?
* The electric vehicle motor has a large no-load current
The internal mechanical friction of the motor is large, the coil is partially short-circuited, and the magnetic steel is demagnetized. When the no-load/load speed ratio of the motor is greater than 1.5, it means that the magnetic steel of the motor has been demagnetized quite severely, and the whole set of magnetic steel in the motor should be replaced. In the actual maintenance of electric vehicles, the entire motor is generally replaced.
* There is a mechanical collision or mechanical noise inside the motor during operation,

less of the high-speed motor or the low-speed motor, there should be no mechanical collision or discontinuous and irregular mechanical noise when the load is running. Different types of motors can be maintained in different ways.
* The mileage of the vehicle is shortened and the motor is weak
Generally speaking, the failure of the short cruising range of the vehicle is not caused by the motor. It is related to the attenuation of the battery capacity, the charger not fully charged, the controller parameter drift (PWM signal does not reach 100%), etc.
* The brushless motor lacks a phase
The lack of phase of the brushless motor is generally caused by damage to the Hall element of the brushless motor. We can measure the resistance of the Hall element output lead relative to the Hall ground wire and the lead wire relative to the Hall power supply, and use the comparison method to judge whether the Hall element is faulty.


How many years is the life of an electric vehicle motor?
Electric vehicle motors are generally guaranteed for three years, and the actual service life is generally 5-10 years depending on the motor, but now the life of electric vehicle motors has become shorter. Under normal circumstances, the service life of electric vehicle motors needs to be replaced after 6 years of use or 150,000 kilometers.
The shortening of the life of electric vehicle motors is not due to the decline in the quality of electric vehicle motors. As a result, the current electric vehicle motors are not as durable as they used to be. The power of 20 electric vehicles has increased, and the flood of refurbished motors and irregular accessories is caused.
Therefore, for users, it is necessary to pay attention to the maintenance of the electric vehicle motor and the matching of accessories, so that the life of the motor can be effectively extended.


How to maintain an electric vehicle motor?
* All circuits and electrical connections of brand electric vehicle motors are designed and produced by professionals, and users are not allowed to modify them, otherwise failures and accidents ( including: serious consequences such as fire and traffic accidents) will easily occur.
* When using on rainy days, do not allow the motor to drive in deep water, let alone allow the water surface to exceed the center axis of the rear wheel. During use, pay attention to checking the fastening state
of the motor and the rear fork. If the nut is found to be loose, Fasten it in time or go to the after-sales store to check and deal with it.
* When the motor stops running, remove the dust and sludge outside the motor in time to keep the motor clean to prevent oil and water from entering the inside of the motor. Do not spray water directly when cleaning.
* If the motor is found to be hot (over 90°C), with smoke, smell, different direction, or other abnormalities, it should stop running and send it to a brand store for disposal. Do not disassemble the motor by yourself.
* Avoid driving the vehicle on overload, with insufficient tire pressure, or on long or steep slopes, otherwise the motor may burn out.
* The rim of the motor should not be subjected to severe impact, and the electric vehicle should not be forced to start in a blocked state. When the electric vehicle cannot be started due to being blocked, do not start it repeatedly, and start the motor after eliminating the cause of the electric vehicle being blocked.
* For motors equipped with chains, remember to add lubricating oil to the chains frequently. Doing so can not only reduce the wear of the transmission parts, and prolong their life, but also reduce the rotation noise.
